RipJack Inn features Yogalicous Playa Grande’s only yoga studio. We offer a variety of class to choose from. All our instructors are internationally certified and bring their love of yoga to the studio. If there is enough interest classes can also be held on the beach at low tide, the perfect way to start and end a wonderful day in paradise. Private classes for groups or individuals are also available.

Sunset Sailing:
One of our favorite things to do! Join Captain Terry onboard the Samonique III and sail off into the beautiful waters of the Pacific Ocean. Explore secluded beaches, islands, and coves and snorkel in some of the best spots around. Equipment is provided and you will have the opportunity to spot colorful fish, turtles, octopi, coral reef and much much more! On the way back, enjoy the sound of live music as you watch the sun sink slowly into the horizon—definitely the best seat in town! Food and drink are provided.
Canopy Tour:
Harness yourself in and fly through the tree tops with breathtaking views of the ocean, waterfalls and Howler monkeys too! There are 23 platforms and two suspension bridges that adhere to the strictest safety standards. This is a truly unique Costa Rican adventure that you won’t want to miss. Witch’s Rock & Ollies Poiint – World class surf:
You don’t have to be a world class surfer to enjoy world class surf. This is a must if you are surfing. Accesibale by boat only, Witch’s Rock enjoys endless offshore wind with fast barrels. Ollie’s is a point-break right with rides that go on and on and on…. There are several ways to get there from a standard panga to an overnight on a 55 foot Grand Banks replica.
Leatherback Turtles:
Take this tour for a once in a lifetime opportunity to view the Leatherback turtles. Playa Grande is one of only three places in the world these 800lb turtles come to lay their eggs. Turtle season is Oct. 15—Feb. 15. You must be accompanied by a guide as the beach is closed to the public from 6:00 pm to 6:00 am during nesting season.
Rincon de la Vieja:
Visit this beautiful volcano in one of Costa Rica’s national parks. Choose from several different hiking trails through the jungle canopy to waterfalls or volcanic craters. Enjoy breathtaking views of the Nicoya peninsula and don’t forget to the visit the blue lagoon, a naturallyformed hot spring.
Jungle Boat Estuary Tour:
Enjoy a guided boat tour through the glassy waters of the Tamarindo wildlife sanctuary. Here you have an opportunity to see and hear crocodiles, monkeys and numerous species of exotic birds. There are also kayaks available to rent if you prefer to explore on your own. We recommend early morning for this tour.
Diving:
Explore the warm waters of the Pacific Ocean teaming with schools of fish and coral reef. Resort courses and full SSI certification are available. Locally, choose from the Catalina Islands or a wall dive at Cabo Velas. For additional dive sites check with our staff. Whether you’re an experienced diver or just a beginner there is something for everyone to enjoy!
Horseback Riding:
Explore the beauty of Playa Grande and surrounding areas by horseback. Choose a daytime or sunset ride to take in the sights. There is also a cantina tour available with local guides who take you on a wooded path stopping along the way for cold beer and bocas—this one is for adults only!
Sport Fishing:
Choose from a full- or half-day adventure fishing the beautiful Pacific Ocean for Sailfish, Yellow Fin Tuna, Dorado and much more. Local captains will navigate the boat to the best fishing spots on these waters that they know so well. Costa Rica boasts a consistent catch rate for game fish all year round. Be sure and bring sunscreen and a hat, drinks and snacks are provided.
World-class Golf:
Enjoy picturesque scenery as you tee off on one of two championship level golf courses in the area. If you didn’t bring your clubs you can rent them in the pro shop. There is also a driving range and lessons available from a PGA-certified instructor.
